Level 1Static hold
Chest opener
Clasp your hands behind your back and open your chest to stretch the chest, front shoulders and biceps.
How to do it
- 01Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart and interlace your fingers behind your back.
- 02Straighten your arms, draw your shoulder blades together and lift your chest.
- 03Raise your hands slightly away from your back until you feel a stretch across your chest and front shoulders, chin level.
- 04Breathe deeply and steadily and relax into the stretch.
Common mistakes
- Arching the lower back and pushing the belly out — lightly brace and open from your upper back.
- Shrugging toward the ears — draw your shoulders down before lifting your arms.
