Level 2Static hold
Tuck hollow hold
An easier hollow hold with your knees tucked, teaching the abs to keep your lower back pressed into the floor.
How to do it
- 01Lie on your back with your knees tucked toward your chest and arms along your sides or reaching toward your feet.
- 02Brace your abs, pull your ribs down and press your lower back into the floor.
- 03Lift your head and shoulders off the floor, chin slightly tucked, knees over your hips.
- 04Breathe in short, steady breaths through your nose while keeping the brace.
Common mistakes
- Lower back lifting off the floor — tuck your knees closer and brace harder.
- Straining the neck — gaze toward your knees and keep your neck relaxed.
- Holding your breath — breathe short and steady.
